Etymology
The original action was pulling or dragging. Making a picture became drawing because a pencil is pulled across paper to leave lines and figures.
In context
instead of using three shapes to draw the soda can we could simplify it further and draw just a rectangle then cut off the corners and continue with the rest of the sketch
