A device that moves air, or to move air with one.
The tabletop fan blows air that sends two ribbons streaming outward.
Etymology
A vannus tossed grain into the air so lighter chaff could blow away. The name later came to mean a device for moving air, the function performed by a modern fan’s rotating blades.
In context
the turbo fan is simply a smaller fan that is usually more powerful because it has uh curved blades instead of the flat blades on your typical larger oscillating fan
