Etymology
Old French fin described something perfected or of the highest quality. English broadened this idea of excellence into general approval, so fine can also mean simply satisfactory.
In context
the smart functions of the 8260 is nice to have but they are not vital so if you want the 8250 instead that is perfectly fine
