A small raised part of a breast or udder through which milk flows.

Etymology
Earlier neble named the same breast projection and was probably a diminutive of neb, ‘beak’ or ‘snout.’ On that explanation, the nipple is pictured as a little projecting beak.
In context
A moose nipple is very small compared to a cow nipple. A calf doesn't know exactly where to find them and must learn.
